In fact, there are unfortunately endless ways that they access your number.
Sometimes, they reach you by dialing random numbers, calling every single number possible with a specific area code, and eventually are likely to reach you, or another potential victim of their horrific scam.

In other cases, spam calls aren’t so random. Some mass marketing firms sell data, such as phone numbers, email addresses, and sometimes even home addresses to make large purchases and bill them to your home.
Spam callers often have accessed large telephone databases, and misuse the information to their advantage.  

Many of us have unfortunately received calls with telemarketers telling us we could win tons of money by simply providing a few pieces of personal information.
This is one of the biggest scams that should be avoided at all costs.
